About the Artist

Lenay Hughes is a fine arts professional based in Prescott, Arizona. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art and Art Education from Arizona State University. Currently working as a freelance artist and surface pattern designer, Lenay exhibits her work both locally and nationally.

Her artwork is inspired by organic forms found in nature, brought to life through rich, expressive color palettes that evoke an emotional response in the viewer. With over 20 years of experience as a visual arts educator at both the elementary and high school levels, she brings a deep understanding of artistic development and creative expression to her practice.

An Arizona native, Lenay draws inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding her, often spending time hiking the mountains near her Prescott home. Her passion for drawing and painting continues to shape her evolving body of work.
